Hello fellow Dark Empire members.
I wanted to give a small update on what's been going on and what is to come so that these long silences are not filled with speculative assumptions of another clan hiatus.
With an official return of the Dark Empire near the end of last year, some of you might except tremendous activity on our server of Jedi Knight Academy. With the game now becoming 20 years old this year, the overall community of Jedi Knight Academy is at an all time low and with all of us loving many of the new video games coming out and the fact that we are all much older will make it so the "golden age" of the Dark Empire might never return. Before this sounds pessimistic, I want to point out that this stage in our lives and of the clan is a fine place to be, as we are able to enjoy life in different ways and find prime opportunities to hang out and game on Jedi Knight Academy without an overall obligation we once held on ourselves to play an old star wars computer game.
Many of you know I got back into mapping around the holidays last year and then around December onward I got busy again, putting a damper on that. I started mapping again in March with plans for official releases on Shola and Korriban Tomb to come during the Dark Empire's 14th year anniversary month. However, that won't be able to happen as it's now April and there are lots of small details and bugs to sort out. I can't give a set date on when my maps will be fully completed as I have a bit of a perfectionist bone in my body that compels me to add, or edit areas until the end of time. Let's hope these finish this year!
