Please read this post before clicking any links, as to prevent confusion and such.
I posted about this, somewhat, in the Member shoutbox. (Sorry for the wall of text, I forgot about threads for some reason while staring at a forum.)
Anyway, for those of you who don't know - Video game companies love to give out free games as promotions to get in the spotlight, this is usually when they have a new game coming out, or if they have a bad reputation, etc.
Since it is almost Christmas, a few companies tend to give out games more frequently. Here is a link if you wish to keep an eye out for free games during Christmas. Note: The moderators do their best to moderate the threads, but sometimes it takes them awhile. So, if a post asks you to download something, I recommend you ignore the post, as it is probably a virus. Also, if you wish to read the actual post rather than visit the website, you must click "Comments" under the post title.
One such game is the Game of the Year Edition of Two Worlds. Here is a link to the subreddit post. By clicking the title of a subreddit, it will take you to the designated webpage, if one is assigned. In parentheses next to the subreddit title, the default website name is listed, like: (google.com), (dlh.net), etc.
For the Two Worlds game, you click the subreddit title, and it will take you to DLH. The website is in German by default, but you can change it to English (Englisch) in the top-right. Register for an account, log in (you may have to confirm activation), and go to "Profiles/Keys" at the top of the screen. Your game(s) should be at the bottom of the page. Click the button next to the game(s), and you will be redirected to the Steam community website. Once you are logged into the Steam community website, Steam will ask if you want DLH to add games to your Steam, say yes (DLH uses Steam API to connect, with your permission, to add the games). I have acquired 7 games from DLH - Enclave, East India Company Gold Edition, Knightshift, Knights and Merchants HD, Pirates of Black Cove, Commander - Conquest of the Americas, and Two Worlds: Game of the Year Edition.
I just thought I would let you guys know of some free games. Remember to check /r/FreeGameFindings during Christmas if you are interested in free games. Merry Christmas!
