Some of you probably know this concept better by the name "Hunger Games" but that name is already being used by JAWA for their inferior server event so I'm using the original, cooler name: Battle Royale.

Recently we added some fairly large maps to the server, but those maps have little use for general FFA, so I thought we could do an event that does take advantage of the size!

Some basic rules and ideas I came up with:

1. Battle Royale is similar to our Infected event in that it is an elimination event. The difference is that everyone is against each other from the start and begins only with fists.

2. Everyone tries to survive until there is only one victor left.

3. When you die you go spec (or maybe stay at an area in spawn if you don't want to spec.)

4. This can really only be done with weapon pickups and limited ammo that are scattered about the map and sabers be disabled. If this isn't possible then this whole idea might suck. If it's just sabers then it will just turn into a cat and mouse chase game between the veterans and the novices. Your survival should be dependent on what weapons you have.

5. Perhaps enforce room switching every 5-10 minutes to prevent overly long camping? Admin chat the top of the screen would help with this.

6. An admin could spawn weapon caches containing cloaks, e-webs, jetpacks and powerful weapons at random times and announce it's location to the players. This gives incentive to not spend the entire match camping in an effort to obtain useful resources. That, or ambush other players looking for loot.

I don't know if any of this is even possible, but I think it would be fun. Feel free to offer your thoughts and ideas.
